VIDEO: All-New BMW 7 Series Previewed On YouTube, Shows Off Next-Level Tech

They aren’t letting too much get out of the bag just yet, but BMW has just given its YouTube followers a sneak-peak at its all-new, next-generation 7 Series.

They aren’t letting too much get out of the bag just yet, but BMW has just given its YouTube followers a sneak-peak at its all-new, next-generation 7 Series.

The flagship limousine, codenamed the G11, is expected to make a global debut sometime soon, and here are a few mind-blowingly awesome things you can look forward to.

The first item previewed in the video is the vehicle’s new Remote Control Parking function. As obvious as it sounds, BMW are playing up its flagship limo’s ability to park itself, and get out of a parking garage without the need of a driver to be in the vehicle – all you need is the key.

Speaking of which, BMW has also showed off a new BMW Display Key: a brand-new innovation that combines the conventional abilities of a remote key, with a new LCD screen that can relay useless information back to the driver.

Where screens are concerned, it looks like BMW will also give up refraining from touchscreen devices for the driver, with the video demonstrating that a new touchscreen display will make a debut in the 7 Series.

Interaction between driver and car” is big on the next-gen 7 Series, where along with the touchscreen display, BMW is also introducing ‘gesture’ and ‘voice’ commands.

And then you have its bodywork, which drawing inspiration from the carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) bodywork of the BMW i3 and i8 model, the all-new 7 Series is said to feature the same material in its architecture. For now, it only looks like the material is being used to strengthen various areas of the body, such as for the reinforcement of the roof. The full extent of the use of CFRP materials on the 7er will of course be revealed much later, when the car is fully launched, but we understand that some 130kg has been peeled off against its predecessor.

Do enjoy the video, and stay tuned to Carlist.my for more news of the all-new, next-generation BMW 7 Series! (Scroll down for a massive gallery of the all-new G11 7 Series being tested before it's big debut)
